Phaung Daw U Pagoda is the most famous pagoda in Inlay lake region. The pagoda houses five small gilded images of Buddha, which have been covered in gold leaf to the point that their original forms cannot be seen.The Pagoda Festival is held annually for a total of 18 days. It is one of the most famous festivals in Myanmar. Both locals and foreign visitors come to visit this traditional festival in Inlay Lake, Shan State. Annually, during the Myanmar Month of Thadingyut, usually between September and October, the 18-days festival is held. The festival is held with the dates according to the Lunar Calendar of Myanmar. It begins on the first Waxing Moon day of Thadingyut and ends a couple of days after the Full Moon.

Day 1 Yangon Arrival & Sightseeing

Upon arrival in Yangon, the cars and our tour guides will pick you up at International Yangon Airport and then transfer to hotel for check-in. it can be said that Yangon is the largest city and the gateway of Myanmar.

Our first destination is Sule Pagoda which houses a hair given by the Buddha to two Burmese merchants. Surrounding the pagoda are small shops and all the familiar non-religious services such as astrologists, palmists and so on. Leave Sule Pagoda, we move to Batataung Pagoda – a famous pagoda located in downtown Yangon, Myanmar, near the Yangon River.

In the afternoon, we move to Chaukhatatgyi which houses a huge reclining Buddha under a large sheet metal roof. Afterward, we will visit the Shwedagon Pagoda situated on a small hill with a height of 99.4 meters. On top of the pagoda, it is visible to cover all parts of the city. Especially, in the evening, the pagoda becomes sparkling with the light system and the dark sky.

Day 2 Fly to Heho & Inle Discovery

In the early morning, we take a flight to Heho. From here, we drive to Inle Lake via the Beautiful landscape of Shan state and make check-in hotel procedure. Our hotel is located on the surface of Inle Lake.

Before moving to some highlights of Inle Lake, we will boat around the Lake to get its overall view. Inle Lake has long been considered “Nenice of Myanmar”. On the surface of the lake, you can see floating villages, floating gardens, floating markets, several traditional villages such as forging, weaving and so on. The most special sight on Inle Lake is floating gardens where the local use the water hyacinth combining with seaweed on the bottom of the lake to keep the soil to grow more vegetables such as tomatoes, mint, etc.

Our first stop is Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda where houses the five Buddha images. These images are covered with gold in order to make visitors not be able to see the original form. Leave Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, we continue to Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery to see well-trained jumping cats, enjoy Phaung Daw U Pagoda festival.

Day 3 Inle-Indein-Inle

After breakfast at hotel,  we have a full day of excursing around the Inle Lake and taking part in Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda festival. The festival contains a rowing competition among the locals and companies in the area. At that time, pilgrims from all over the country come to this festival to pay homage to the four Buddha images and gain merit whilst enjoying the festive air of the event.

In the afternoon, we move to Inn Dein where houses to hundreds of ancient brick stupas and pagodas dated back to 17th century. To complete the day, we will enjoy the beautiful sunset from hotel’s terrace.Stay overnight on Inle Lake.

Day 4 Inle-Maing Touk-Inle

Today, we will explore the village of Mine Thauk on the Eastern Shore of Inle Lake. It can be said that Mine Thauk market is a highlight of the village where you can find a real local atmosphere with a variety of products from the lake. If not, we will walk through the village and stop at Mine Thauk Monastery.

After having lunch, we boat around the Inle Lake to witness the daily life of the local people, fisherman rowing by one leg or listening to the sound of nature.Stay overnight on Inle Lake.

Day 5 Fly back to Yangon and Yangon Departure

After having breakfast at hotel, we move to Heho and take a flight back to Yangon. From Yangon, we continue to take a departure flight to your home country.
