Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake
The modern and bustling Chatrium Royal Lake was our home for our first two nights in Myanmar. The hotel has a host of restaurants (we even had a fantastic sushi lunch!) and amenities such as currency exchange. We opted for a Club Room which included an airport transfer, 2 pieces of laundry per day and snacks and drinks in the Club Lounge. After a long journey from Ireland it was amazing to be whisked from the airport in a waiting car and have food and drinks at hand until our jet lag passed!
Location: we loved the location and spent lots of time in the calm oasis of the nearby Kandawgyi Park. The Shewadgon Pagoda was a relaxed 35 minute stroll although it was easy to grab a taxi.
